How often should I bathe my dog?

Most dogs only need a bath every 4–8 weeks, or when they're dirty or smelly. Bathing too often can dry the skin.

Use a dog shampoo, not a human one. Dogs with skin conditions may need medicated baths on a schedule your vet sets.

Between baths: regular brushing keeps the coat clean and spreads natural oils. Dry ears well after bathing.
